Last night Maccabi "Shachar" Tel Aviv played their final match at their London training camp when they faced off against the Under-21 Brighton FC club. The match was played at Brighton FC's training complex that includes 14 football pitches.
The Under-21 side that Maccabi played included some of the first team reserves with striker Bobby Zamora being the most well known of the group.
Brighton took a 1:0 lead but Maccabi was able to even the score on a goal by defender Idan Yogev. However, the Yellow-and-Blue couldn't hold onto the result and went down to defeat by a 5:1 scoreline.
Following the match Brighton FC players Beram Kayal and Tomer Hemed came to visit the players and staff, speaking to them about how much hard work is needed to reach the highest levels of play. The two Israeli National Team players also wished the club good luck as they will take part in the Champions League Youth Tournament.
