Maccabi’s coach Vladimir who guided his side to a late 1-0 victory away to Bnei Sakhnin said after the match: “We could be satisfied only with the result but not from large parts of the match. We began the match well and created chances but after that Bnei Sakhnin had their chances and felt more confident. There are grounds you know you need to win regardless how and this stadium is one of them. We have a team which wants to improve and players who want to improve their form”.

Despite the three points gained, Ivic, whose opponents had two goals disallowed by VAR, remained adamant: “I think this is the first game this season that maybe we won the game without being at the top of our form. At Ashdod we were in better form but we didn’t take all the points. We need to work hard and continue improving”.
