The 21-year-old defender who spent last season on loan with Bnei Yehuda, signed until the end of the 2026/27 season with an option to extend by a further season.
Shahar Rosen, the grandson of former Maccabi captain Zvi ‘Zvika’ Rozen, made last season 42 appearances in all competitions scoring one goal during a season-long-loan at Bnei Yehuda. The previous season, Rosen, who was raised at Maccabi’s Youth Academy was loaned to second division side Hapoel Kfar Sava for which he scored twice in 37 appearances.
After signing his contract, Rosen told the Club’s official website: “To sign a long-term contract at Maccabi Tel Aviv is a dream come true ever since joining the Youth Academy at the age of 5. After the training camp with the senior side in the summer and another loan in the second division, I feel more mature to fight for my place in the squad, prove myself and justify the chance I was given”.
