Dor Turgeman returned to Maccabi after spending the summer with the Israel national team in the Olympic Games and scored in his first match back. The 20-year-old forward who opened his account for the 2024/25 season said at the end of the match: “I am delighted we started well and scored two early goals. We then dropped back in the middle of the game, which is natural, but I am glad we ultimately won the match.”
Turgeman didn’t hide his pleasure at returning to the team when he added: “I missed everyone here a lot – the team, the guys and getting to meet the new coaching staff. I can’t even find the words to explain how much I missed it all. I am delighted to have scored on my first game this season but we now need to move on to next week and complete our job.”
