Stav Lemkin made his Maccabi debut and was denied a goal by the crossbar in the 2-0 defeat to Midtjyalland in Belgrare.
At the end of the game Lemkin chose to focus on the positive aspects of the match: “The result is disappointing but we have many positive things to collect from this match as well so things we must improve. We are really disappointed. There will positive things we will take from this match and prepare ourselves for the next match.”
Lemkin who could have celebrated his debut with a goal but saw his report strike the woodwork, added: “It was nice to make my Maccabi debut yet I wanted it to end differently. Losing the match on my debut is disappointing and I hope next time it would end better. I missed that one but we had another chances as well. We proved today that we could compete with teams at this levels and even be better at times.”
