At this coming Saturday's home match against Ironi Kiryat Shmona, Maccabi Tel Aviv Football Club will honour a very special guest: Sharga Bitansky, aged 91, and one of the club's most veteran supporters

Sharga Bitansky, aged 91, was born on the 12th of November 1921 and has been an ardent fan of Maccabi Tel Aviv Football Club ever since, holding a season ticket for many of those long years. A long-time volunteer at the Givataim branch of "Yad Sarah", one of Israel's leading voluntary organisations aiding the disabled, the elderly and the housebound, Sharga has recently been chosen "Man of the Year" by the Israeli Lion's Club for his extensive and voluntary contribution to their activities. At this coming Saturday's league match, Maccabi Tel Aviv Football Club will be honoured to host Sharga and his family and will award him a championship memento in recognition of his long devotion to the club.
