The two spoke about the upcoming game against Hapoel Acre. Garcia: "I know the history of recent encounters with Hapoel Acre, but we can use it as motivation to change the statistics". Enyeama spoke of the team's defence in the run up to the game: "Some players may be missing, but the structure remains solid, no matter who plays.  The coaches prepare us to be strong defensively, but we're not just about defence.  We have a good team – in attack and in defence".

Oscar Garcia remarked that the team will miss Enyeama during the African Cup of Nations that will begin in January: "I'm happy for him. It is good and important to play for your country and he will play very well there". Enyeama then addressed the issue himself: "I'm sorry to miss games at this stage of the season because the team and I have objectives and we want to be holding the Championship plate at the end of the season and every point counts".

Enyeama then spoke of how he has fit in with the team and the objectives for this season: "I am happy to be part of the Maccabi project and I am pleased to be with the coach and the team here.  We want us to be the strongest team.  We may not have the biggest names, but we want to win titles and I think we will succeed".  The Nigerian goalkeeper was asked about playing with Maccabi Tel Aviv today as compared to his past with other teams and he responded: "Right now I enjoy playing for Maccabi and I don’t want to get into comparing players and teams.  Each club have their own principles and I respect everyone's rules and philosophies".

In addition to Enyeama, who has reached the finals of  the African Cup of Nations with Nigeria, several Maccabi Tel Aviv players were capped for the Israeli national team that beat Luxembourg this week and Oscar Garcia mentioned them as well: "I'm pleased with the national team's results because it means that we are doing something right if so many of our players are called up for the national team".
