Maccabi Tel Aviv defender Carlos Garcias wishes his Yellow teammates the best of luck in their quest to capture the National Cup: "It's time we got back to our Cup-winning ways"

One of Maccabi Tel Aviv's three matches this week is already behind them, Saturday's 4-0 triumph over Hapoel Acco. Before the team's next league match this Saturday against Hapoel Ramat Gan, our lads in Yellow will make a maiden appearance tonight at a brand new stadium for their eighth round National Cup tie against their namesakes from Netanya. Maccabi Tel Aviv head coach Oscar Garcia is not losing sleep over the crowded fixture schedule: "Every match is important for us. If we lose tonight we're out so we'll be putting out the best side we have to ensure that win."

About preparations for the Cup tie he added: "It'll be a tough match for us but we'll be preparing ourselves like we do for every match with one objective in mind, and that is to win. It makes no difference where the match is and who the opponents are, the mindset is exactly the same." The head coach also talked about the fans: "I'm happy they're so keen to buy tickets for the coming matches. I know they're proud of their club and that makes me very happy too. They know that we'll give it our all for every match. That's how I want to see the club and that's the way to keep our fans satisfied."

Defender Carlos Garcia is hoping to see Maccabi Tel Aviv's first Cup tie tonight be the start of a long run in the competition: "The lads want to make a good show of it because it's been a while since Maccabi have won a cup and that's not good for the club. We're keen to get started now, we're in good form and have a good chance of going all the way."

With the away venue for tonight's fixture in mind, Carlos had this to say about Maccabi's away form in recent matches: "I think our problem is just one of concentration. We simply have to be more focused for these matches and convert whatever chances we get." Fans have already started buying up tickets for next Saturday's derby with Hapoel Tel Aviv, but Carlos says the players aren't thinking about that match yet: "Now we have to concentrate only on the Cup tie with Netanya. Understandably the fans have the Derby on their minds already, but for us that match is still some days away."
