On Thursday the Nigerian international goalkeeper said good-bye to his teammates "I just hope they'll stay on top while I'm gone"
After completing his morning training and before heading out to the airport to join up with his international teammates at the Nigerian squad's training camp in Faro, Portugal, Maccabi Tel Aviv goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama spoke to the official Maccabi website: "I'm off to represent my country at the African Cup of Nations and I'm sure everyone will be very happy if we come home with the cup. But even from there I'll be keeping an eye on the results here in Israel".
The 30 year-old goalkeeper will be hoping to reach the finals at the Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg on the 10th of February after his group B matches with Burkina Fasso (21.1), Zambia (25.1) and Ethiopia (29.1). "Barak Levi and Tomer Chencinski are excellent and worthy goalkeepers. They are in the trustworthy hands of goalkeeping coach Alexander Ubarov who'll make sure they do the best possible job. I feel completely confident about both of them and wish Maccabi the best of luck and hope they'll stay on top while I'm gone".
