Maccabi Tel Aviv's negotiations to bring in striker Rade Prica have reached an advanced stage, with the Swede expected to undergo a medical shortly. The 32 year-old is the only Swedish footballer to win championships in three different Scandanavian countries – Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The 6 foot 1 inch striker started in the youth department at Lyngby football club and played for Helsingborg, the German club Hanza Rostock, AAB, Sunderland and Rosenborg, where he scored 57 goals in 104 appearances. Rade has been capped 14 times for the Swedish national side, scoring two goals.
Sports Director Jordi Cruyff had this to say to the official Maccabi website: "I've been tracking Rade for quite a while. He is an outstanding player and I'd be very happy to sign him for Maccabi Tel Aviv."
