Six Maccabi Tel Aviv players have been capped for the Israel National squad that will get together this coming Wednesday (6 P.M., at the National Stadium Ramat Gan) for a practise match against the under 21s in preparation for the upcoming World Cup qualifier against Portugal.
Eran Zahavi, whose last appearance in a blue and white jersey was in May 2012 in Leipzig in a friendly against Germany, received his 12th call up. Maccabi skipper Sheran Yeini, who has yet to make an official appearance in the national side, was also capped along with four other Maccabi Tel Aviv stars: Eliran Atar (his second call), Maharan Radi (his fifth), Eitan Tibi (his eighth) and Gal Alberman, whose 32 appearances in the national side make him the senior Maccabi Tel Aviv member of the squad.
The upcoming World Cup qualifier against Portugal will be played at the National Stadium Ramat Gan on Friday the 22nd of March at 3 P.M.
