A victory tonight against Hapoel Ramat Hasharon will signal the start of Maccabi Tel Aviv's twentieth Israeli Premier League title celebrations. Fans are requested not to run out on to the pitch
If Maccabi Tel Aviv win their match tonight against Hapoel Ramat Hasharon, the Club will issue an official communique concerning the date, the time and the place of the title celebrations. Maccabi Tel Aviv wish nothing more than to celebrate winning the league championship with their hundreds of thousands of loyal fans from all over the country, but for that very reason the venue and the time must be appropriate to the scale and conduct of the official celebrations. The team will under no circumstances be returning to the Kiryat Shalom training grounds. If the title is won this evening, the Israeli Football Federation will present the title plate to the club and the players will celebrate with their fans in the terraces. If supporters burst on to the pitch they risk having 10 points deducted from the team they love so dearly. So please, if Maccabi Tel Aviv Football Club are to organise a real Championship celebration, fans are urgently requested to follow these instructions.
