Five Maccabi Tel Aviv players, including striker Eliran Atar – his first call up – were summoned to Israel's national team ahead of two World Cup qualifying matches against Luxembourg
Shortly after their victory over Ashdod FC, Maccabi Tel Aviv received more good news. Five players – midfielders Gal Alberman and Mahran Radi, defenders Eytan Tibi andYoav Ziv and striker Eliran Atar – all received call ups to play for the Israeli national team in their upcoming games. The first four players have already appeared for the national team but this is Atar's first call up to the national team in his career. The five will depart for Luxembourg for the away tie on Friday and will then play with the team in the home fixture in Israel on Tuesday.
