This morning (Thursday) Maccabi Tel Aviv Football Club were fined by UEFA to the amount of 22,000 euros for a banner displayed by Maccabi fans at the team's first Europa League match against APOEL Nicosia with the text "FEEL THE TERROR OF TEL AVIV". The fine was also the result of Maccabi supporters standing in the aisles during the match itself.
The management of the Maccabi Tel Aviv Football Club appeal to their fans to refrain from raising banners at the team's European home matches with texts that have not been approved in advance by the club. They also call upon supporters not to sit or stand in the aisles during the matches and add a reminder that the use of flares or fireworks is strictly prohibited at any of the teams' home or away matches.
