To celebrate the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah, Maccabi Tel Aviv Football Club planned a special festive Open House for hundreds of the club's young fans and their families.
In light of the early passing yesterday of renowned Israeli comedian, actor and dyed-in-the-wool Maccabi fan Seffi Rivlin, the club have decided to alter the format of the Open House. As no doubt Mr Rivlin himself would have wanted, the day will not be cancelled so that the many children will be able to enjoy an afternoon with their favourite Maccabi stars, even on such a sad occasion as this. The club will make every effort to perpetuate his memory, if possible during the course of the Open House activity.
May his memory be an enduring blessing.
