In what has now become a tradition at the start of every Maccabi Tel Aviv home match, the announcement of the home side's starting line-up has become an eagerly anticipated event at Bloomfield Stadium. After the club's masterful home announcer, Shay Sidi, has shouted out the players' first names, the thousands of adoring Maccabi fans exercise both their enthusiasm and their lung power by screaming out the rest.
Well, for one time only, it might just be you taking Mr Sidi's place at the microphone and addressing the many Maccabi fans by shouting out the names of the Maccabi stars who will take to the pitch to face Israeli Premier League opponents Ashdod FC on Saturday January 18th at 5pm. All you have to do is upload to Instagram a clip of no more than 15 seconds showing you giving live commentary of Barak Yitzhaki's spectacular overhead goal against Maccabi Haifa last Monday night, with the hashtag, in Hebrew right to left, #גם_אני_רוצה_להיות_סידי. A panel of editorial staff judges will choose among them the most talented one-off replacement for Mr Sidi and that lucky fan will take his place at the microphone before the match begins.
