Maccabi Tel Aviv owner representative Jack Angelides attended a meeting of the European Club Association in Barcelona
Maccabi Tel Aviv owner representative Jack Angelides was a delegate for the club at a meeting on Monday of the ECA, the European Club Association, the only independent body directly representing football clubs at European level. The meeting was attended by delegates from 151 different European clubs from the 51 football associations recognised by the international governing body of football FIFA. Among other things, the meeting was an opportunity for the participants to get up to speed on the financial rules of UEFA's "Fair Play" regulations, adopted in 2009. Also discussed were the organisation's youth leagues, FIFA's new regulation and the ECA's preparations for the 2022 World Cup expected to be held in Qatar. Special attention was devoted to a comprehensive 2012 study, conducted on behalf of the European Union, that included a detailed look into the European football player transfer market.
