Maccabi Tel Aviv Football Club join in these accolades for humanity's fair sex, as Maccabi's marketing director Sharon Tammam reported: "We at the club are extremely pleased to see more and more women joining the ranks of Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters and coming to matches to express that support. Starting last season, we began to offer women season tickets at special discount prices and this year the number of women subscribers has doubled". Maccabi Tel Aviv are also very conscientious about being an equal opportunity employer where women are concerned, as was stressed by Shelly Lixenberg, HR director at the club: "In spite of the fact that football is usually thought of as a male domain, we at Maccabi are extremely proud of our policy of the genuine equal employment opportunities we offer for women. Almost half of the staff at our head offices are women, which we feel adds significant added value to the club".
