At the first league game of the season against Maccabi Haifa, it was Ron Taib who celebrated his Bar Mitzvah, coming out onto the pitch in full Maccabi Tel Aviv match kit. Ron joined the team captains in front of 14,000 spectators in a game that was broadcast live to thousands of television viewers at home.
