This coming Thursday at 8pm, tens of thousands of Maccabi fans are expected to paint Ganei Yehoshua yellow at the official championship celebrations
The place – Ganei Yehoshua, the time – 8pm, the event – the official Maccabi Tel Aviv Championship celebrations! Now that Maccabi have ensured themselves the Israeli Premier League title for the second year in succession, the time has finally come to launch the official celebrations. This coming Thursday May 15th at 8pm, Ganei Yehoshua will see those celebrations begin and tens of thousands of Maccabi Tel Aviv fans, the entire MTA squad and the full MTA coaching staff are expected to arrive for this unforgettable evening, including the introduction of all the team players, the lifting of the Championship trophy, a performance by Bloomfield hero Omer Adam, who will be singing, among others, his hits "I'm tired of you" and "Tel Aviv" that have become such favourites among the Maccabi faithful this season, and many other surprises. The evening's compares will be Radio Tel Aviv DJs and "Goalstar" heroes Harel Slotsky and Ofer Dominguez. Entrance is free of charge and for everyone attending, this will also be the first opportunity to purchase official 2013/14 Championship merchandise.
So let's all come out for this memorable event on Thursday and paint Ganei Yehoshua a bright maccabi Tel Aviv yellow!
Instructions for those attending the celebrations:
– Please come as early as possible
– Wherever possible, please come by public transport (bus or train)
– It is forbidden to take the following items into the celebrations area: weapons of any kind, (motor)cycle helmets, chains, large bottles of water, alcohol, chairs, mats, pushchairs, bicycles or pets
– Please follow the instructions of the police and security personnel to the letter and report to them any person or object of a suspicious nature
Public Transportation to the celebrations:
Israel Rail: The Tel Aviv University or Bnei Barak stations
By bus: As a result of the celebration changes will be made in the bus schedules on the evening. For further details please contact "Dan" (03-6394444 or *3456), "Kavim" (03-6066055) or *82254), "Metropolin" (*5990) or "Egged" (*2880).
Instructions to supporters arriving by car:
For those arriving by car, parking facilities at the Reading and "Beit Almin" Kiryat Shaul carparks are available, from where fans may proceed to the celebrations by public transport (bus).
– Supporters arriving from the north should travel on the Namir Road, turn right at the "Rokach" intersection and proceed either to the Reading, Tel Aviv University or Sportek parking facilities. From there to continue by public transport (bus).
– For supporters arriving from the Eylon South motorway, please turn off at the "Rokach" exit. There police will be stationed to direct traffic to the "Drive In" carparks, with access from the Eylon motorway and the exhibition grounds.
– Supporters arriving from the Rokach ring road will be directed to the Ganei Yehoshua, Sportek or Reading carparks.
– Supporters arriving from Bnei Efrayim St. will be directed from the Shitrit intersection to the Tennis Centre, "Atletika" and Rapidim St. carparks.
– Supporters arriving from Road 5 through Tzahala will be directed from the Pinchas Rozen/Shitrit intersection left to the parking facilities at the industrial estate at Ramat Hachayal at Raul Wallenburg St.
– Supporters arriving from Ramat Gan and Bnei Barak are requested to park at the Ramat Gan Stadium parking facilities and to proceed on foot over the Maccabiah bridge to Hayarkon Park.
– Supporters arriving from the motorway 4 are requested to use the "Em Hamoshavim" route to Sheshet Hayamim St. in Ramat Gan and to park at the parking facilities at Ramat Gan Stadium, at the Bnei Brak shopping centre and at the industrial estate near Ramat Hachayal, and from there to cross the Maccabiah bridge on foot to the celebrations area.
Instructions for the general public not participating in the evening's events:
– Please avoid approaching the area of the celebrations, i.e. the Rokach ring and the Shitrit and Bnei Efraim Roads.
– People travelling to north Tel Aviv are requested to use the Eylon motorway and use the KK"L exit.
– Due to expected heavy traffic northbound on the Eylon motorway, motorists headed north are requested to use motorways 6 and 4.
– Motorists leaving Tel Aviv to the north are requested to travel on the Namir Road to the Glilot intersection and from there to proceed to motorways 2 and 5.
Travel restrictions to the area of the celebrations
Where necessary, the following roads may be closed to traffic:
– The Eylon motorway southbound, "Rokach" exit. Traffic will be redirected to the KK"L exit
– The Namir Road eastbound
– The Shitrit/Rokach intersection. Traffic will be redirected to alternate routes
Travel restrictions at the conclusion of the celebrations:
– If necessary, the eastbound lane of the Rokach ring road will be closed to traffic starting at 10.30pm. Traffic will be redirected to the Eylon motorway, the Namir Road and the KK"L Road
– The westbound lane of the Rokach ring road will be closed and traffic will be redirected to the Bnei Efrayim Road and from there to the Eylon motorway.
