Maccabi Tel Aviv Football Club announce that Owner Representative and acting General Manager, Jack Angelides, will be stepping down from his position at the end of the month.
Jack Angelides stated, "It has been an honour and a privilege to be part of this great club. Since Mitch Goldhar acquired ownership the club has made great strides over the last 5 years in becoming a successful and professional organisation andI am certain that as a result of the continued hard work of all the dedicated people who make up the club, Maccabi will continue to develop and set new standards in Israeli football. I would like to pass on my sincere thanks to the owner, Mitch Goldhar, for giving me this fantastic opportunity to assist him in implementing the vision he has for the club and to everyone that I have worked with in the club, both past and present, who have helped me fulfill my duties. It has been an amazing experience to be involved with Maccabi Tel Aviv and to get to know Israel. My original commitment and intention was to remain in Maccabi Tel Aviv for 2-3 years but for various reasons I decided to extend my stay and to continue to assist the club's efforts to improve its position both on and off the field. Now after completing almost 5 years at Maccabi the time is right for me to leave and take up a new challenge. I have decided to take up the position of president & CEO of PAOK FC in Thessaloniki, Greece".
"Maccabi Tel Aviv is set up in a professional manner and staffed with dedicated employees and I am confident that under the stewardship of Mitch Goldhar and together with the support of our wonderful fans, sponsors and partners, Maccabi will continue to go from strength to strength".
"I will certainly miss Maccabi tremendously".
MITCH GOLDHAR STATED, "Jack embodies the highest standard in terms of values and work ethic. A standard we continue to strive towards at Maccabi. Through Jack's leadership role over the last five years we have made important progress in building a professional culture at Maccabi, top to bottom, on and off the pitch. I'm certain that I am not the only one that knows that our successes including the championships victories in the last two seasons would not have been achieved without the enormous contribution of Jack Angelides. Jack is also a close personal friend. It has been particularly meaningful to me to have shared the last five years at Maccabi together. Therefore, personally and on behalf of the entire Maccabi organization, thank you Jack, and good luck in your new role as president and CEO of PAOK. We're sure you will again achieve much success there and do so with the same decency and integrity you imbued at Maccabi".
"With gratitude and best wishes, Mitch Goldhar".
