The Maccabi squad have landed in Barcelona and held their first practice at FC Barcelona's training pitch ahead of Tuesday night's match against Santa Coloma
The first official match of the 2014/15 season is almost upon us. This morning the Maccabi Tel Aviv squad landed in Barcelona, where they were greeted by pleasant summer weather, and after settling in at their hotel the team headed straight for the renowned training ground of FC Barcelona, "La Masia", for a practice. Tomorrow they will travel on to Andorra and more training ahead of the first leg of their Champions League 2nd round qualifier against FC Santa Coloma on Tuesday night at 9pm. This will be the first time since the 2007/8 season that a Maccabi side will face off against the Andorran champions.
As a result of UEFA's decision to allow the two clubs to reverse the order of the home and away fixtures of this two-legged contest, Maccabi will be hosting the second leg next Tuesday the 22nd of July. Details about ticket sales for the match will be published during the course of this week at the official Maccabi Tel Aviv and applicable social media websites. Tickets for this Tuesday's tie in Andorra la Vella will be on sale for €15 on the night of the match at the local Estadi Comunal d'Andorra la Vella starting at 6pm local time.
