MTA and young Israel keeper Barak Levy has agreed to a 4-year contract extension: "I'm delighted"
Maccabi Tel Aviv Football Club this afternoon reached an agreement with goalkeeper Barak Levy on an extension of his contract that will keep the young international at the club for an additional four years. The club reacted by saying: "Barak is a young and talented player who's made remarkable progress and we see in him the future of the club". The 21 year-old Levy, who came up through the ranks of the Maccabi youth academy and is currently a member of both the Maccabi senior and Israel Under-21 squads, had this to say: "I'm very happy to have signed an extension to my contract at the club I've been a part of since I was a boy and where I see my future as well". Having passed through all of Maccabi's youth teams on his way to the senior squad, Levy will now be embarking on his fourth season with the first team.
Levy made his maiden first team appearance toward the end of the 2010/11 season when he was handed the gloves for Maccabi's 3-1 victory over Ironi Kiryat Shmona. The following season the gifted young keeper made 26 senior squad appearances, having now racked up a total of 48 appearances in all.
