After touching down in Israel from Cyprus with the rest of the Maccabi Tel Aviv squad, midfielder Dan Einbinder was taken for a medical examination that revealed he had suffered a fracture of the metatarsal in his right foot. The injury was sustained in the final moments of last night's match in Slovenia and will be treated by the club's medical staff before his gradual return to training.
Einbinder came off the bench to replace winger Tal Ben Haim on 71 minutes in last night's 2-2 draw against NK Maribor that put an end to Maccabi's run in the season 2014/15 Champions League.
