For the first time, the MTA squad held a practice under the direction of the new head coach Pako Ayestaran
After seeing their European campaign come to an end last night despite a one-sided 3-1 victory over Greek side Asteras Tripoli, the Maccabi Tel Aviv squad returned to training this morning. The training was held in Cyprus and for the first time under the guidance of new head coach Pako Asterayan and his coaching staff. This afternoon the squad will return to Israel and tomorrow they'll hold an additional practice at the Kiryat Shalom training ground ahead of Sunday night's 8.20pm kick-off in a "Toto" (League) Cup derby at Bloomfield Stadium against municipal archrivals Hapoel Tel Aviv.
