Midfielder Omri Altman and Maccabi Tel Aviv have mutually agreed to his spending the current season out on loan. Barak Badash is suspended for three European matches
In discussions held between Maccabi Tel Aviv sports director Jordi Cruyff, head coach Oscar Garcia and Omri Altman, a mutual decision has been reached that the young international midfielder will spend the current season out on loan. Altman came up through the ranks of the club's youth system and after having proven himself with the Under-17s, he was given the opportunity to join the Under-19s before his 17th birthday. He proceeded to score in all of his first four appearances for the team and in doing so caught the eye of scouts from then English Premier League side Fulham. Altman started out with a loan move but the London outfit later decided to turn it into a permanent arrangement. He began his career with the "Cottagers" in the youth team but later joined the reserves, making 24 appearances and scoring two goals during the 2012/13 season. After rejoining Maccabi at the start of the 2013/14 season he made eleven league appearances and an additional nine in European competition.
In other news, it has been announced that as a result of the red card he received during the second leg of Maccabi's 2nd round Champions League tie against Santa Coloma, striker Barak Badash has been suspended from the next three matches in European competition.
