Registration continues for the Maccabi Tel Aviv Football School South
The Maccabi Tel Aviv Football School South, under the direction of Eliezer Ben Aharon, is designed to provide the conditions under which a future generation of football players can be developed and nurtured. The school operates eleven months out of every year, from the beginning of August until the end of June, with training sessions held at the Kiryat Shalom training ground in south Tel Aviv. Every child attending the school receives a full kit, a kit bag and a ball. If at all possible, they also receive tickets for senior team matches. The Maccabi Tel Aviv Youth Division, under the management of football director Nir Levin, do their utmost to provide the children who attend the school with the highest quality coaching staff available.
The Maccabi Tel Aviv Football School South has produced a whole host of leading players for the club's senior squad, as well as for Israeli football in general. A brief look into the past reveals the names of the likes of Motti Ivanir and Avi Nimni, both of whom became household names for Maccabi first teams. Today, too, graduates of the school feature in the ranks of Maccabi's first elevens, notably Dor Micha, Sheran Yeini and Moshe Lugassi.
