The Israeli "Toto" (League) Cup competitions will commence on Saturday, with round two set for the middle of next week
In consultations that took place today between League Management chairman Yoram Baumann and his counterpart at the Israel Football Association Ofer Eini, a decision was reached that the first rounds of the "Toto" (League) Cup competitions in the "Winner" (Premier) League and the second tier "Leumit" League will be played this Saturday August 9th, subject to approval for unlimited stadium access from the Israeli security forces.
Maccabi Tel Aviv's first round tie away at Maccabi Netanya will start at 8.30pm and will be broadcast on the Israeli sports channel 5 Live+. Round two is a home tie against Hapoel Ra'anana but due to a one-match home tie ban, the match is not expected to be played at Bloomfield Stadium but at another venue to be announced at a later date. The game itself is scheduled for Wednesday August 13th at 8.50pm and will also be broadcast on 5 Live+. Details regarding tickets for this match will also be announced at a later date.
