Maccabi Tel Aviv have launched a new platform in Hebrew that will turn the journey to the team's matches into an experience
In collaboration with the FanZone company, Maccabi Tel Aviv Football Club are happy to announce a new service to their Hebrew savvy fans that will make their efforts to get to the team's matches both easier and more enjoyable, and save them money to boot! Maccabi Tel Aviv's "FanZone" is already up and running and now everyone is invited to go to the FanZone section of the official Maccabi Tel Aviv website and register. Then all you need do is select the game(s) you wish to attend and add your name to the network of fans heading in the same direction. The FanZone platform then offers fans three alternatives for connecting up with fellow travellers:
1. As a driver, you can offer places in your car for other fans to join you and save all of you money on your travelling expenses.
2. If you're looking for a lift, you can find out who in your area is driving to the match and join them, again saving both time and expense.
3. If the club are arranging organised travel to any particular match, you can register and reserve your place on the coach or train.
The service is completely free and any expenses incurred are for sharing petrol or purchasing your ticket for the coach or train.
How does it work?
Each time you enter FanZone you will first be asked to re-enter your address and telephone number to enable the service to locate fellow travellers from your area. If you're driving the platform will help others contact you about the details of your journey. If you're looking for a lift you will be able to see who's driving, who the other passengers are and what route the driver will take. You can also see where the meeting point is (for example at the passenger's house or the driver's) and suggest other stopping points along the way. Once your journey has been confirmed you can then invite friends to join you if more places in the vehicle are available. The platform even enables you to enter your Facebook account and invite friends to join you through the social network. If organised travel is available for any particular match, the service will provide you with all the details and the opportunity to reserve your place.
