The window closes: Hassan Abu Zaid on loan at Hapoel Petach Tikva, Dor Jan at Ironi Kiryat Shmona
On the final day of the Israeli summer transfer window Maccabi Tel Aviv Football Club have agreed loan deals for their players Hassan Abu Zaid with Hapoel Petach Tikva and Dor Jan with Ironi Kiryat Shmona.
Midfielder Abu Hassan Zaid joined Maccabi Tel Aviv on a permanent deal from Bnei Yehuda at the end of the 2012 summer transfer window. The 23 year-old Zaid came up through the academy at Bnei Yehuda to debut for the first team and score his first senior goal in the 2009/10 season. During the 2011/12 season, the young Zaid made 28 league appearances for his club, during which time he racked up eight yellow cards and one dismissal. Last year he divided his season on loan at Cypriot side AEK Larnaca and back home at Hapoel Nir Ramat Hasharon.
Young striker Dor Jan came up through the academy at Maccabi Tel Aviv, scoring 16 league goals in winning the Under-19 Premier League championship in the 2012/13 season. Jan made his maiden senior squad appearance on May 9th 2012, coming off the bench ten minutes from time and scoring his first and the match's final goal deep in injury time in the club's 4-3 loss to Bnei Yehuda. Jan also played the last 25 minutes in the final match of that season against then to be champions Ironi Kiryat Shmona. In the 2012/13 season, Jan received the captain's band for the club's Under-19s and scored 14 league goals in a campaign that saw the side finish second, just one point behind Maccabi Haifa. His next appearance for the seniors would be in matchweek 25 of the 2013/14 season, when he once again came off the bench in Maccabi's 1-0 victory over Beitar Jerusalem.
