Maccabi held a morning practice without six of their players who will be participating in international matches this weekend
In the midst of the extended break between league games, Maccabi continued their routine practice sessions without players on international duty. Five players have been capped for the Israeli national team for the two upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers in Cyprus (October 10th) and Andorra (October 13th): Maccabi captain Sheran Yeini, defenders Omri Ben Harush and Eytan Tibi, midfielder Eran Zahavi and striker Tal Ben Chaim. In addition, summer signing Nosa Igiebor has been called up to the Nigerian team ahead of their two matches against Sudan on the 11th and 15th of October in the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations. All of the other Maccabi players practised on the U19 field due to reseeding of the first team training pitch.
The team will continue their training routine over the next few days followed by a break at the weekend before returning to practice on Sunday. The national team players are expected back in training next week ahead of the upcoming Maccabi league game scheduled to take place at Bloomfield in two weeks' time on October 20th at 8.50pm against Maccabi Haifa. Individual tickets for Maccabi fans are not expected to be available for this particular match.
