The Israeli police have issued instructions ahead of tomorrow night's match at "Sammy Ofer" Stadium in Haifa
"Tomorrow night December 8th at 8.55pm, Maccabi Tel Aviv will host Beitar Jerusalem at Haifa's 'Sammy Ofer' Stadium.
In anticipation of the heavy traffic on the two main arteries connecting Tel Aviv with Haifa – the coastal motorway nr. 2 and the more inland road nr. 4 – we call upon all fans to make use of public transport, train and bus, to get to Haifa's central rail and bus station "Hof Carmel". We also ask that supporters make every effort to get to the stadium at least two to three hours before kick-off. Haifa's fast-bus "Metronit" will be available to carry all ticketholders from "Hof Carmel" to the stadium itself.
The Haifa police will be out in force to regulate traffic in the area of the railway station, the stadium and the stadium car parks and to maintain order and security for the thousands of fans expected to come to the match. Joined by traffic wardens from the local Haifa authority, traffic regulations will be enforced in the strictest possible manner, including towing, in order to prevent disturbances in traffic flows on the major roads to and around the stadium. Expanded enforcement will also apply to the use of alcohol, with offenders being refused entry into the stadium. Peddling will also not be permitted in the area of the stadium.
Any instances of violence or vandalism in or in the areas leading to the stadium will be dealt with swiftly and with determination and offenders will be pursued to the full extent of the law".
