This past week Dor Micha agreed to extend his contract with the club, but his focus is on the game ahead: "I hope to see 'Sammy Ofer' packed with Maccabi fans"

After having opened this week in the match against Bnei Sakhnin and put in an excellent performance, Maccabi's young midfielder Dor Micha extended his stay at the club for an additional three years: "I'm really happy about this, I've been playing for Maccabi since I was seven and it's very exciting to stay at the club I grew up at. Playing for Maccabi is a real joy, the guys are fantastic and so are the fans. Every time I get out on the pitch at Bloomfield Stadium is exciting and I'm very happy to be staying here".  As for the upcoming match against Beitar Jerusalem, Dor is looking forward to seeing Haifa's "Sammy Ofer" Stadium filled with the Yellow-and-Blue of the Maccabi faithful: "We've heard it's really an experience playing there and I hope to see "Sammy Ofer" packed with Maccabi fans. I'm sure they're all keen to be there so I expect they'll all pitch up like they always do. No doubt it will be an experience for all of us".

Defender Omri Ben Harush, who has already played at "Sammy Ofer" with the Israeli national team, talked about his impressions: "An absolutely brilliant stadium with a brilliant atmosphere. I'm sure our fans will fill the terraces and give us that extra push they always do. I can't wait to get out on the pitch. You can really feel the fans around you, you know, and having their support will help us to return the favour out there on the pitch. All the lads want to see as many fans cheering us on in Haifa as possible". Omri also had a word to say about last night's match at Bnei Sakhnin: "We're moving forward, our sights are now beyond last night and on to the top spot in the table. It's a very long road but I feel confident we'll get there in the end".

After last night's victory, yet more good news at the club! Three members of Maccabi's senior squad and one from the Under-19s have received call-ups for the Israeli Under-21s. First team midfielder Ben Reichert and defenders Dor Peretz and Sean Goldberg, as well as Maccabi Tel Aviv "Shachar" midfielder Matan Hozez, have all been capped by head coach Michael Nees to start intensive training with the Under-21 squad for two consecutive two-day practices starting on December 9th.
