Due to stormy weather, tonight's State Cup quarter final first leg tie between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Ironi Kiryat Shmona has been postponed till Feb. 25th
After having twice checked the pitch at the Kiryat Shmona Stadium an hour and a half prior to kick-off, referee Menashe Mashiah ruled that the first leg quarter final State Cup tie between the home side and Maccabi Tel Aviv scheduled for 8.55pm would have to be postponed. A new date has been set for Wednesday Feb. 25th at 7.30pm and ticket holders are asked to keep their tickets for the replay.
Last night Maccabi Tel Aviv Football Club received a request to move the forthcoming league encounter between the two sides at Bloomfield Stadium in Tel Aviv from this coming Monday night at 8.55pm to Sunday. The club would have been more than happy to accede to that request on condition of receiving official confirmation from the entitled broadcaster in sufficient time to allow for adequate preparations for such a change. However the club have been given to understand that such a confirmation has been initially refused and would not be forthcoming.
