A memorable night for Maccabi Tel Aviv as they won State Cup final and thus completed the treble. Fans, players, coaches and staff celebrated the big victory and the historical achievement.

Captain, Sheran Yeini, who missed the game due to an injury said at the end: “I was a regular fan today and I had an incredible experience supporting the team from the stands. The fans generated an amazing atmosphere and the guys responded with a great game.”

Yeini explained the difference between playing and supporting from the stands: “As a player, you know how to absorb these energies to help you do the things you need to do on the pitch. As a fan on the other hand, I didn’t know how to channel these emotions when they erupted. It’s such a remarkable feeling, which makes it really fun to be a supporter. Personally, today is my happiest day at Maccabi and the saddest. It feels like I see the team from a different place. My move in the summer feels real all of a sudden. There is less tension of winning or losing now that I truly realize that I am leaving Maccabi”.

Top scorer Eran Zahavi, who added another goal to his tally added: “The squad, the club and the amazing fans got what they deserved. Everybody is doing a fantastic job here. We proved that we are the best and I hope we can continue to improve.”

“People keep saying the Maccabi is dependent on me, which makes me feel uncomfortable, because my teammates make me the player that I am. It is time to give them the credit they deserve. They do great things on the pitch and the fact I score more goals shouldn’t mean anything”, said Zahavi on his teammates. “I have another personal goal to achieve. As a team, we will start our journey in two months with new objectives”.

Maharan Radi who scored the last goal of the night said: “I learned to make the best out of any situation, whether it is good or bad. The win today proves to me that I managed to build the right mental characteristics to succeed. We have been raising expectations throughout the season and we want the team to keep progressing. It is safe to say that the club is more dominant than it was three years ago.”
