Maccabi’s midfielder, Gal Alberman, was convinced after the 0-3 loss to Beitar Jeruslam: “We weren’t as sharp as we should have been”
Players and staff admitted that winning the treble last week is not an excuse for this evening's performance.
Midfielder Gal Alberman confessed: “We weren’t as sharp and focused as we normally are and it was difficult for us to get back into the game after conceding the first goal. We wanted to remain competitive and fair towards the rest of the teams in the league by performing well this evening. It is a shame we couldn’t do so.”

Alberman commented on the difficulty to maintain a high level of tension after winning the treble last week: “There is no question that it is hard to recreate energy after such a week, but it is not an excuse. We have enough experience to put the festivities aside but it wasn’t the case this evening.”
The long serving midfielder spoke about the final game of the season, next week against Maccabi Petah Tikva: “It will be our last home game of the season and we want to send our fans home with a smile after such a memorable season. We don’t need any additional motivation when we see our supporters in Bloomfield. Our fans gave us a lot of energy this season and we would like to have a good finish for them".
