Maccabi’s season is coming to an end after playing X games, scoring X goals in all competitions and having winning one historical treble
Let us look into the numbers behind our memorable season.
18 – The amount of goals scored by Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Israel State Cup competition including 6 in the final alone! This was the most goals scored in the State Cup by one team in 20 years. Back in 2000-01 the Yellow-and-Blue registered 17 goals, one less than this year.
6-2. The highest score in the State Cup final since the establishment of the state. In 1942 Beitar Tel Aviv defeated Maccabi Haifa with the score 12-1.
23 – The amount of Israel State Cups Maccabi has won all time. This year’s victory was the 17th Cup since the founding of the State.
3. Rade Prica is the first player to score three goals in the cup final since 1948.
12. The number of players scoring in the league this season with defenders Eitan Tibi and Carlos Garcia amongst the goal scorers.

49 – Captain Sheran Yeini played in the most matches for the club this year in all competitions including Europe, State Cup, Toto Cup and the Ligat Ha’Al. Other than two matches in the Toto Cup Yeini started all of the Ligat Ha’al games until he was injured.
21 – The appearances that the youngest player Dor Peretz made for the team in the historic season.
14. Midfielder Dor Micha with the highest number of assists (12 assists in the league). This is a personal record in the first team.
1. The first time Maccabi and Hapoel did not meet in the playoff, since introduced. This is the first time the Tel Aviv derby was played twice, with one game not ending in regular time.
