Maccabi Tel Aviv held their official press conference prior to the Champions League Playoff Round return leg against FC Basel at Bloomfield Stadium 21:45 with Head Coach Slavisa Jokanovic.
"We are within reach of a huge dream and we will come prepared and play well. We'll concentrate and play smart football. The stadium will be full of our supporters and we all have to understand what is in front of us. We have a game plan and all of us will need to follow it."
The coach also spoke about Nosa Igiebor's injury:
"Nosa Igiebor will be fit for the match, but the club is not just Eran Zahavi or Nosa Igiebor. All of the starting eleven will need to be ready and even if we score after 10 minutes the match is nowhere near being over. We have to be prepared for 90 minutes or even 120 minutes tomorrow night."
Jokanovic discussed his feelings about the match:
"I won't have a problem sleeping and I am full of passion and confidence. I expect that all of my players and coaches understand that this is a very great day for Maccabi. We all must come with a clear mind and I know my players will be following my lead. Football is for smart people."
FC Basel won't be an easy opponent and Jokanovic mentioned that too:
"Basel is an excellent team. The pressure is on them and I believe that Eran Zahavi will come full of confidence and score a goal. The team however is not just Eran. He has had a wonderful start of the season and the pressure is not just on his shoulders. Ultimately it's my responsibility if things don't turn out well."
