It’s become routine for Maccabi Tel Aviv’s Youth Department to send players off to the various. Israel National Teams and today was no exception as Ofer Fabian’s Under-17 club advanced to the Elite Round of the European Championship with the help of a number of Yellow-and-Blue players.
The Elite Round will consist of eight National Teams which will be drawn on December 3, 2015 with the actual round being played in March 2016. In today’s victory four Maccabi youth players were in the starting lineup including Eylon Almog, Eden Karzev, Noam Cohen and Yarin Sharabi while Chen Ozeri and Yarden Shua were on the bench. Our own Yellow-and-Blue representative Eylon Almog who plays for Maccabi’s Under-19 squad scored Israel’s first goal in the 12th minute and helped set the tone for the Under-17 Israel National Team to advance to the Eilte Round.
