Maccabi Tel Aviv takes on Beitar Jerusalem this evening at Bloomfield Stadium at 20:55 on Matchday Eight of Ligat Winner League. The Yellow-and-Blue come into the match with confidence having won their prior three league games and find themselves at the top of the table. Just before the game, Captain Eran Zahavi spoke about Beitar and the amount of matches the club has this coming week:

“It’s not an easy game even though we are playing at home. If we play our best we will be fine. We want to win just like we want to win every match we play.”
Beitar hasn’t played up to their potential:
We don’t look at what our opponents have done in their prior matches before facing us. We look at what we have to do and we have to put on our best performance especially because we are at home at Bloomfield Stadium. We will try our best to win the game.”
There’s a busy week ahead:
“We have to go from game to game. Right now the most important match is against Beitar and they are a good team. After the match we can concentrate on the upcoming games.”
How do you keep focused when there are so many games:
“When there is a week with a lot of games we have to be prepared properly but we’ve had this now for four months and we’ve learnt how to deal with it.”
The burden of also playing with the National Team:
“There is definitely a ton of games but we had a couple of days off to give us a break. At the end of the day there’s nothing better than having to play so many games and we want to enjoy the challenge ahead.”
