Head Coach Slavisa Jokanovic is readying his side for today’s match against Bnei Yehuda on Matchday 12 at the Netanya Stadium due to the winterization of the Bloomfield Stadium pitch. The coach spoke about how he sees Bnei Yehuda coming into the match especially after succeeding to draw against Beer Sheva last week playing for the counterattack:
יוקאנוביץ’ לקראת המשחק מול בני יהודה
“It complicates things when teams come to play against us that way, though I’m not sure what they will do against us this time. They had a good result against Beer Sheva. It’s our obligation to win the game, attack and take the points. We must play with passion and find a way to score some goals.”
On how Bnei Yehuda played against Beer Sheva last week:
“They played a good game and very well defensively. They tried to counter attack with three players. This could be the type of game we will see from them and I don’t expect to see something new. We will try to score goals but they will be careful defensively. We have to be organized, patient and find a way to score goals. The defense has to be prepared as well.”
Contrasting this match to the Chelsea game:
“Yes and no. You never know, each game is new and we will try to play good football. We have to attack the opposing team and we want to be the best team in Israel. We are obligated to take the risk of playing more offensively but this will be nothing new.”
