“It was a missed opportunity for me, but I’m happy that I had the chance. For me to have these types of opportunities is also a step up for me. I had to act quickly without thinking. If we didn’t end up scoring I may have really felt badly, but Carlos scored and we won so there’s no one happier than me. Maybe I saved the goal for Porto.” The midfielder said with a smile.
“We lifted ourselves up after the loss like we do after every match. We’ll continue forward and work on the things that we haven’t done that well with. We try to improve and fix up certain areas of our game and we saw in the derby that we were able to lift ourselves up after last week’s loss and win the game.”
The expectations placed on the team:
“Expectations and expectations. Fans, commentators, analysts and journalists, everyone has – different expectation for us. Even when we win we may not look the best. When we don’t play well we say it like it is and last night that wasn’t the situation.”
On his recent play:
“I’m continuing on my path, always believing that I can play and that I’m good enough. I’ve proved that my place is on the pitch and I’m happy that the coach has the confidence in me.”
