You’ve already gotten your Champions League ticket package and you’re ready for the games. Now you just have to figure out the best way to get to Sammy Ofer Stadium on Wednesday night for the Porto match at 21:45 on Matchday Four of the Champions League and avoid all of the traffic. We’re here to make sure it will be as easy a possible for you to get to your seat without the hustle and bustle. Below is all of the information about taking public transportation to the stadium to save you both gasoline and aggravation.
Maccabi Tel Aviv FC calls on all fans to make sure to get to the stadium as early as possible to make your travels as pleasant and as easy as possible to enjoy a great evening of football. The stadium gates open at 19:00.
Arriving by Bus:
FANZONE has organized busses from various locations around the country.
IMPORTANT! FANZONE will have three pickup points for only 10₪ each way to Sammy Ofer Stadium. The HaRishonim Railway Station, Reading Tel Aviv and Cinema City Glilot.
The round trip ride tickets are available at attractive prices and can be reserved in advanced via the FANZONE website. Go to the website and you can see all of the details, times and price of all of the various rides. (See the price list below)
The registration and reservation along with the actual rides are the sole responsibility of FANZONE and they take all the responsibility for the operation of the buses and rides.
Israel Railways will also be servicing the Yellow-and-Blue fans that will be heading to Sammy Ofer Stadium in Haifa as special trains will be available to ensure your arrival at the game prior to kickoff (beginning at 18:00) and give you a 10% discount on round trip tickets. Please visit the Israel Railways website or App where you can find the timetable and details.
To receive the discount, all fans at railway stations from Hadera and south including Hadera must request the special discounted match round trip tickets at the ticket windows.
The following is a message from the the local Police spokesperson to the fans who will be traveling to the match in Haifa:
Wednesday’s Champions League match on November 4th between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Porto will start at 21:45 at Sammy Ofer Stadium, and the local police forces will be present to prevent any disturbances and help with the traffic flow around the facility. The stadium gates will open two hours and forty-five minutes prior to kickoff to allow all of the supporters sufficient time to enter the stadium and find their seats. No one will be allowed entry to the stadium without a security check. Vehicles parked illegally or block and interfere with traffic near the stadium will result in an immediate fine and penalty to the fullest extent of the law.
The police recommend that all fans use public transportation and arrive as early as possible in order to avoid long queues at the entrances to the stadium and the tunnel road. Additional Metronit busses will operate on Wednesday night and will be available for spectators leaving the stadium at the end of the game. Supporters arriving in private vehicles may park at the following lots: Hot, Congress and the beach parking lots. Police will be directing traffic to the parking lots. There will be many fans arriving in a number of trains to the match and must cross at the marked crossings, following police instructions.
