Midfielder Dor Peretz is enjoying his first year as an everyday player with Maccabi Tel Aviv and had an opportunity to speak to the media prior to his club’s WINNER League Matchday 15 encounter with Hapoel Beer Sheva:
“We will play Beer Sheva tomorrow and we know how we are coming into the game and how we are preparing. We aren’t looking so much at the opponent but at ourselves. It will be a good game with two teams at the top of the table and we’ll both be prepared for this matchup.”
The importance of other players contributing to the offense:
“We all know that we have to improve our offense and we have to contribute and not rely just on Eran Zahavi. We will be doing that tomorrow and looking to all be a factor on the pitch.”
About Beer Sheva:
“Firstly I’m not sure who will start tomorrow but I can say that their midfielders are strong and aggressive and will give us all a fight. But we will be ready for the challenge.”
Ups and downs:
“It’s natural that we have times where we aren’t as good and there are times we are terrific. These are the ups and downs. Against Kfar Saba we drew 0:0 but that was then and this is now. That’s football.”
Concerning keeper Predrag Rajkovic’s time with Maccabi:
“For any player who goes to a foreign country there will always be a learning curve and fitting in won’t be easy. However, as time has gone by we are all seeing a marked improvement.”
