The Yellow-and-Blue are preparing to kickoff against Rishon Le’Zion in the Israel State Cup Tournament this evening at Haberfeld Stadium, 21:00. Daniel Lifshitz will look to put in the same performance that he did in the last match when the club visited Ramat HaSharon two weeks ago.

“It’s always difficult when playing these types of matches in the State Cup tournament. Sometimes teams come and play with ten defenders and there is always pressure. We just have to come and do our job just like we do in the league and so far in the Cup and continue to advance.”

The possibility of heading into penalties:

It’s the State Cup and anything can happen, but I really don’t want to think about it and it’s not something that I really worry about before the match. We have to come and take care of business as we usually do, work hard for 90 minutes and move on.”

This year Maccabi played two lower division clubs just like last season:
