The Yellow-and-Blue midfielder, Haris Medunjanin is preparing for the opening of the Playoff Round this coming Saturday afternoon at 17:00 as they welcome Bnei Sakhnin to Bloomfield Stadium. The Bosnian who made his return to Kiryat Shalom during the January transfer window looks ahead to the last round of matches, competing for a starting position and the battle for first place:
“It’s only 3 points between us and Beer Sheva. We have two games that we have to play with them and as the coach says we have everything in our hands. The playoffs start this Saturday.”
The chance to play:
“It’s very nice to be back after not playing a lot in Spain. I was very happy to come back here and have the opportunity to show what I can do. I hope that I can show my quality over the course of the rest of the season and then take the championship in May.”
Fitness on the pitch:
“I may be running a lot as I ways run but I’m always going at the same tempo. The team has a good spirit and are very positive. We have to have a ten strong games.”
On the Bnei Sakhnin match:
“Every game will be difficult. I saw the match against Beer Sheva and they played very compact with some very quick players up front. We have 90 minutes and if we play the way we know how to play then we will be ok.”
The competition to be in the starting XI:
“Everybody is doing their job and we came here to help the team. There’s plenty of competition to play and there are others on the bench who are waiting for their chance. It’s important that there are many good players and that we all have to be sharp.”
