Hello to all of the Yellow-and-Blue fans,
We’re in the final stretch of the regular season and we want to finish it off properly. Kfar Saba has caused all of the top teams problems so far this year. It won’t be easy that’s for sure, especially since it will be the second match in three days but we’ll be playing at home and you’ll be with us. Knowing that you will be supporting us, coupled with the confidence we’ve gained over the past few matches, I’m sure everything will be just fine.
After we get through with this game, we can begin to look ahead to the playoffs as we will be heading into two very intense months. We can feel the excitement both on and off of the pitch. There are definitely times during a match when things aren’t going our way but we know that each and every one of you, the fans, will cheer us on and help us out.
We each received an analysis of all of the matches we have played this year. As of now, we’ve already played what would be equal to a full year of games and minutes. The physical load has been tremendous on us, but with our deep squad we’ve been able to help each other out match to match. As the season continues on, we can all look back at how many matches we’ve played but we are a passionate group with tons of motivation along with both physical and mental fitness that is second to none. We are ready to take care of business this Saturday and then begin the playoffs.
The amount of points that we have accumulated this year has been pretty good and if you compare it to prior seasons it’s even more points than in the past. If you check out our statistics you’ll see that we’ve scored more goals than any other team in the league. We have scored plenty of goals and we will need to take the positive momentum from all of the fans with us into the playoffs. We are a very close knit group in the lockerroom and together with all of you, we will be able to continue winning even during the tough times.
This is my first year with Maccabi and in the past the club has gone into the playoffs in better shape. For me personally, this is a time period where I will have to work hard and help out the club and do the best that I can during the playoffs. These are tough times, but there will be good times ahead.
See you at Bloomfield,
Yours truly,
Avi
