Passover is approaching and this year once again the non-profit organization “Achim LaSemel” is working to make the Passover holiday happy for everyone. Over the last three years, the flagship project of the organization was to conduct a seder dinner for those in need. This year, it was decided that instead of conducting a seder dinner, Achim LaSemel would try to reach more people in need and provide families with everything that they will need for their holiday table. Therefore, the organization started getting the masses involved in raising funds that will enable them to make food packages to be distributed before Pesach.
Maccabi Tel Aviv FC fans and others who would like to help support this project can make a donation and receive a gift from Maccabi Tel Aviv and others. Gifts include Maccabi Tel Aviv autographed shirts, pillows, scarves and hats, tickets to shows, soccer balls and basketballs that are autographed by the team and much more. This project has already raised more than 50,000 shekels!
This Friday, 15.4.16 from 8:00am, Achim LaSemel will meet outside of Hechal HaSport in Hadar Yosef , 6 Shitrit street, Tel Aviv and pack the food that will be bought from the donations that were contributed. They will then deliver the packages to those who need them. These packages are a key for a happy Passover for those in need. Joining the event will be players and coaches from soccer, basketball, volleyball and handball teams as well as players from the various youth teams, Maccabi fans and anyone else who would like to participate.
