After falling to defeat on Matchday One of the Youth League, Maccabi “Shachar” Tel Aviv visited Hapoel Rishon Le’Zion at Haberfeld Stadium under the direction of Patrick Van Leeuwen who is temporarily coaching the squad. The Performance Director didn’t make any changes to the Starting XI from last week.
First Half
Netanel Peretz opened the scoring as the young midfielder put the ball behind the Rishon keeper from inside the box to give the Yellow & Blue a 1:0 lead.
Maccabi “Shachar” continued to press the hosts and controlled the tempo of the game right from the get go. Mahmoud Awesat added the guest’s second goal of the match on an assist by Or Dasa while Eylon Almog put in the third before the break to give Maccabi a 3:0 lead after 45 minutes.
Second Half
Van Leeuwen’s squad came out in the second half and immediately added a goal by Or Dasa off a Ron Gabay assist, adding to the Yellow & Blue advantage. Netanel Peretz put in the visitor’s fifth goal with the help of Awesat and two minutes before time Eden Kartzev joined the party, scoring a header from Tomer Altman’s corner kick to give Maccabi “Shachar” Tel Aviv their first win of the season.
