Tomorrow, the Yellow & Blue will visit Hapoel Beer Sheva at Turner Stadium for a top of the table Ligat Ha’Al clash. Maccabi will come into the match following a 3:2 victory over Kiryat Shemona in the Toto Cup and a league loss last week against Haifa.
Shota Arveladze discussed Sunday’s game: “We still have another training session before we play. We got beat up a bit in the Kiryat Shemona match and I hope all of the players will be fit for the game against Beer Sheva. I’m not going to change the way we play as we’ve proven that we play well this way. There’s always going to be some poor games. It’s not easy to play every three days, but there won’t be any changes.”
Dor Micha, who scored a goal in the Toto Cup match against Kiryat Shemona also spoke and referred to the match minutes h has gotten as of late: “If you don’t play one or two games it’s not that big of a deal, especially with a deep squad. I took this the right way. Every player believes he deserves more credit. There are some coaches who are not big believers in a rotation of players and for those who get a chance they have to prove themselves on the pitch.”
Hapoel Beer Sheva:
“I want to play every game, especially a match that is so important. I really hope that I can take part in it. In reference to the spread’s favorites you have to take into account that it is a home game for Beer Sheva and I believe that when we have our home match in Netanya it will be a different story. I don’t think that it really plays a role on the pitch and that we are the league runner ups from last season. We’re not an underdog and the two sides are very similar. Perhaps because of the loss to Haifa and our match today which was not that great Beer Sheva will come in with good momentum. But in a game like this anything can happen.”
